Part of College’s Central Financial Management function, Management Reporting is responsible for the provision of financial analysis, advice and support to Faculties, Academic and Support Services. Key aspects of the team’s role include the preparation of management accounting reports and the formulation of budgets and financial plans for approval by the Provost’s Board and the College Council.
Aspects of the placement role include:
- Managing the provision of financial information, analysis and advice to support the operational management of various Support and Academic service areas within College
- Preparation of monthly Finance Management Reports for selected support services, and for inclusion in the monthly report for review by Council and Management Board. Reports include detailed analysis of performance against budget, realistic full year forecast, key performance indicators, and commentaries presented in a form that aids management to understand and control College activities
- Assisting in the preparation of annual budget and quarterly forecasts for areas supported
- Ensuring compliance and accuracy of external funds finance within areas supported
Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS)
With effect from 21 May 2021, any individual who will be undertaking research activities, at PhD level or above, in one of the Academic Subjects/Fields of Research relevant to ATAS will be required to obtain a free of charge ATAS certificate before they can apply for a visa to work in the UK. This will include research, academic, engineering and technician staff applying for Skilled Worker visas. Some exemptions apply.
